I am a newspaper reporter for the newspaper that covers Capistrano Unified School District. Is it possible that I attend for media coverage?
Thank you, Jonathan Volzke, Editor The Capistrano Dispatch

No problem, Jonathan. With the fact-free, speculation-rich, conspiracy-oriented, tabloid "reporting" at the Dispatch, this shouldn't deter the Dispatch or its equally paranoid fan club from weighing in with the "news" anyway. Except for distortion purposes, you and yours never needed both sides before. No need to change now.

After watching the trailer I can tell that the content of this 'film' will be one sided. I would be interested in something that shows a balanced point of view, but this isn't it. Don't worry Jonathan--you're not missing any thing.

of course it's not balanced-- it's from the fascist pacific research institute----hard core right wing anti enviro reactionary--- heeeeeellllooooooooo oc is a joke

Hey there "how much" - Why don't YOU make a documentary? What a GREAT country we've got here! And we're all sure that yours won't have ANY type of slant or bias.
Go for it! I suspect that with all the free time Carter has at the moment that he might offer to provide the narration!

I don't know. If it's true, Jonathan still may want to see it. After all, one-sided is what Jonathan and the Dispatch are all about.

An organization that promotes parent choice and competition, concepts rooted in individual liberty and freedom, to improve public education, and that's "Fascist." Apparently, the ignorance on this blog has no limits. The only real fascist making waves today is our socialist president, as he designs to burden public education with even more government intervention and control from on high.

The recall people probably didn't have to pay anything. There are lots of people who care enough to support these efforts to improve our broken public education system.

"I would be interested in something that shows a balanced point of view..." -- and this from a person who hasn't even seen the film and reads the Dispatch for news. However, you're probably right that Jonathan won't miss anything. His bias has caused him to miss and misrepresent the true CUSD reform story for years. Even if he went to the screening, he'd likely miss and misrepresent the story again.

I find it ironic to read the posts about the Dispatch's bias. A certain segment of blackboard readers only seem to complain about bias when that bias does not support their POV. In my opinion, the most biased website I've ever encountered is the CUSD recall website. It is the best example of propaganda I've ever read. In fact, it defines bias and propaganda.
What I find interesting about the CUSD reform "story" is that originally the story was about too many old portables and a variety of facilities issues at CUSD. Then it was about waste and corruption at the district office and an "enemies list" and a bunch of alleged civil rights violations and lawsuits. NOW based upon the information posted at CUSDrecall, OC Weekly, the PRI and trailer of this film, the CUSD reform story has morphed into a story that is anti teacher's union and pro school choice (code for vouchers.)
I have to hand it to the "recall/reform" folks. They are very organized and at first blush seem to have something legitimate to say. They've slowly changed their message to coincide with the goals of the education alliance who provide their funding. Honestly, this is an easy connection for anyone paying attention. At least now, they are being honest about what they are after.
Go ahead..let the criticism begin, I'll help you by giving you a head start...I am clueless even though it's all staring right at me. My head is buried in the sand. Call me stupid and uninformed and someone who doesn't "get it" or has gotten a favor from someone or is in union or used to be a trustee or district employee??? Oh Yeah...I must be ignorant, too. Because, I disagree with your POV.
I'm just glad that the true colors of the recall/reform group are now being displayed so that all of CUSD will know what a few suspected.
