From Danny Teyes, Education Director at the Capistrano Valley Boys & Girls Clubs:
"I just wanted to send you some pictures of young mentee of mine that has come a long way from hanging out with the neighborhood gang and incarceration to being college graduate much like my story. He got caught up in the gang and was incarcerated.
Shortly after his release he sought me out and asked for my advice and he has been my friend and young mentee since. I’m really proud of him, he just today graduated Saddleback College
with an Associate in Science Degree with an emphasis in Architecture and he has aspiration to Attending UC Berkley. He is also now an advocate and champion of a higher education and he has express to me various times that he will follow in my footsteps to mentor other young lost adolescents.
I’m so happy to see that our work here at the Club is making a difference in the community."
That's wonderful! Congratulations!
