Sorry to steal this thread, but Jill Case is running for an open seat on the Orange County Democratic Party's central committee. There are 4 open seats and only two people (Pierre Gilbert and Jill) are running so if no one else runs Jill will automatically be elected.

If you want to run for a seat and try to block Jill's election, you can attend the next central committee meeting on Monday, January 24, 2011 at the Carpenters Union Hall, 1916 W. Chapman, Orange at 7 pm. To run you must be registered to vote as a Democrat in the 73rd Assembly District.

The 73rd district is Diane Harkey's district. To find out if you live in it, go here: http://www.assembly.ca.gov/acs/acsframeset9.htm

Were there any other candidates in the regular delegate election that didn't win? If so, they should take notice of this.

Way to go Bernice Ayer Middle School! It sounds like the whole BAM community came together to make this happen - congratulations!

Voter: no. There were fewer candidates than open slots, which is why there are 4 openings. Please spread the word.
