This is such sad news for our community, Bergeson Elementary, CUSD, PTA, etc. My thoughts are with Mara's family. Please slow down on Moulton!!

Don't mean to hijack post- but there is nothing on the upcoming special agenda meeting where they are going to ok laying off 347 certified personnel, and hiring a consultant for the budget. Any info on this that isn't already on the agenda and in the OCR re: the El Horno Creek?

Well, not really the place, this woman one of many of those people who helped this district without pay, by volunteering, raising money, being involved and she was involved in a horrific accident.

I haven't commented on this particular story because it's beyond heartwrenching. NO words seem to be able to express the loss with this tragic event. My thoughts and prayers have been with the family, the schools she has given her time to and the community.

Well? Why not try calling the district.

Maybe you should hijack another post and leave this one alone. I spent my afternoon at Mara's funeral and I really don't want to see this kind of thing on a post that is dedicated to the memory of a loving, caring PTA volunteer and friend to many.

If you "don't mean to hijack post" then don't do it.

Sad news to hear. Sometimes I feel that it is not fair that the nice people are dying before you do.
