    The DA is corrupt, right?

This is for Let's Get Our Story Straight -
I certainly hope you just made a mistake and posted in the wrong place. If that's the case, we all make mistakes and no harm done.
However, if you're pushing your political agenda here, you have a real problem.
I knew Mara Steves and she was something special and now she is gone and her husband and children have lost their wife and mother. How tragic that they had to lose her at all, let alone to a repeat offender.
Please take your politics somewhere else.

Every person who knew Mara is still missing her. Mara was a beautiful person. Politics have no place here. Shame on you "Let's Get Our Story Straight"!

The DA is corrupt but it has nothing to do with this case. The DA's issue is all about politics and people who want to "control" things in CUSD. This is a dedicated parent volunteer which is one of the wonderful pieces of CUSD that even Beall and his crew can't corrupt.

As to Mara I agree - she was a tremendous asset to our district and if law enforcement can at least bring the person responsible for this tragedy to justice that is a good thing.

I didn't know Mara, but I have met people who did and they have been devastated by her loss. I hope her family knows how much she is missed, that they are STILL in our thoughts and prayers and that we hope justice is carried through to its fullest extent.

Thanks for keeping us up to date.

Posted by: Capo Parent Too, I'm in the same boat. I didn't know her, but some of my students did. I can't tell you how devastated they were when she passed. They clearly felt she was someone very, very special who had touched their lives.

As for Mister let's get our story straight, I only hope and pray that you're able to sleep well at night, for your sake.

It's terrifying that some drivers take the road while under the influence of alcohol. I don't know why they do this but they really do endanger the lives of other people by doing so. Due punishment should be served to drivers who commit such a reckless act.

What a terrible loss to the community. DUI is a serious offense and it boggles my mind how many people think it's not a big deal to get behind the wheel after one too many.
