I don't have many details yet -- and honestly, I'm not sure where to find them -- but looks like Capistrano will soon be home to another restaurant/bar. According to the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, a woman named Diana Lehua Roberts has applied for a license to sell beer, wine and hard liquor in the industrial/commercial complex where the Post Office is.
It's a "Type 47" license, meaning food has to be more than half the businesses' sales.
ABC wouldn't tell me where Roberts lives, but said she does not hold any other licenses. City Hall said they knew of the plan, but nothing has been filed with them yet. And by the way, such establishments are allowed in that district, so other than whatever improvements are needed inside, the business, "210 Dance Restaurant & Bar" would be good to go.
Concerned about the plan? You have until August 8 to protest with ABC. The address of the 210 Dance Restaurant & Bar is 32124 Paseo Adelanto, Ste. 5 and 6, and the ABC protests should go to 605 W. Santa Ana Blvd. Bldg. 28, Ste. 369, Santa Ana, CA 92701. Or call (714) 558-4101.
